It is narrated from Sa'id bin Jubayr that a man came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said: I made an agreement to work (as a hired labourer) for some people on the condition that they would carry me (on a mount), and in return I reduced my wage so that they would let me perform Hajj with them. Will this Hajj suffice for me? He said: You are among those about whom Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has said: "It is they who will have a share of what they have earned, and Allah is swift in reckoning" [Surah al-Baqarah: 202].
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
