أخبرني محمد بن إسحاق العَدْل، حدثنا أحمد بن نَصْر، حدثنا عمرو ابن طلحة القنَّاد، حدثنا أسباط بن نَصْر، عن السُّدِّي، عن أبي مالك، عن ابن عبَّاس في قول الله: ﴿الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِ﴾ [البقرة: 121] قال: يُحِلُّون حلالَه، ويُحرِّمون حرامَه، ولا يُحرِّفونه عن مواضعِه (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah, "Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recitation" [Surah al-Baqarah: 121], that he said: (Its true recitation is that) they regard what it makes lawful as lawful and what it makes unlawful as unlawful, and they do not alter its words from their proper places.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) إسناده حسن. السُّدِّي: هو إسماعيل بن عبد الرحمن، وأبو مالك: هو الغفاري واسمه غزوان.
Grading: Its chain is hasan.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Suddi refers to 'Isma'il bin Abd al-Rahman', and Abu Malik refers to 'al-Ghifari', whose name is Ghazwan.
وأخرجه محمد بن نصر المروزي في "تعظيم قدر الصلاة" (386)، والطبري في "تفسيره" 1/ 519، وابن أبي حاتم في "تفسيره" 1/ 218 من طريق عمرو بن محمد العنقزي، عن أسباط ابن نصر، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Muhammad bin Nasr al-Marwazi recorded it in "Ta'zim Qadr al-Salah" (386), al-Tabari in his "Tafsir" 1/ 519, and Ibn Abi Hatim in his "Tafsir" 1/ 218, via the route of Amr bin Muhammad al-Anqazi, from Asbat bin Nasr, with this same chain.
