Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan" because of Asim (Ibn Abi al-Najud). Abu al-Muwajjih is "Muhammad bin Amr al-Fazari", Abdan is "Abd Allah bin Uthman al-Marwazi", Abd Allah is "Ibn al-Mubarak" and Sufyan is "al-Thawri".
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded it in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (2279) from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim with this same chain.
Reference / Source: From Sufyan al-Thawri it was recorded by Abd al-Razzaq in "al-Musannaf" (6025) (and via him al-Mustaghfiri in "Fada'il al-Qur'an" (957)), and by Muhammad bin Kathir al-Abdi (in Ibn al-Durays's "Fada'il al-Qur'an" 232).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Similar to al-Thawri's narration, it was narrated by Hammad bin Salamah (Ibn al-Durays 231); Hammad bin Zayd, Ali bin Mushir and Zayd bin Abi Unaysah (Ja'far al-Firyabi, "Fada'il al-Qur'an" 29, 31, 32); Mis'ar bin Kidam (Abu Nu'aym, "al-Hilyah" 7/248); Abu Awanah Waddah al-Yashkuri (Abu al-Fadl al-Razi, "Fada'il al-Qur'an" 120); and Shu'bah (al-Bayhaqi, "Ithbat Adhab al-Qabr" 149). All seven narrators narrate it from Asim in the same way.
Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i (10479) recorded it in abridged form via Arfajah bin Abd al-Wahid, from Asim bin Abi al-Najud, from Zirr bin Hubaysh, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: "Whoever recites ﴿تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ﴾ [Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion] every night, Allah will protect him through it from the punishment of the grave. In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) we used to call it al-Mani'ah (the protector), and in the Book of Allah it is a surah which, whoever recites it every night, has done much and done well". It is found via this route in similar form with al-Tabarani ("al-Kabir" 10254, "al-Awsat" 6216) and Abu Tahir al-Mukhallis ("al-Mukhallisiyyat" 1804).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is jahalah (unknown status) in Arfajah, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in his "Thiqat", but he is corroborated in its meaning, as has passed.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded in "Ithbat Adhab al-Qabr" (147) via Amr bin Murrah, from Murrah al-Tayyib, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: "A man died, and (punishment) came at him from the sides of his grave, so a surah of the Qur'an began to argue on his behalf until it prevented it".
Grading: Murrah said: Masruq and I looked, and it was Surat al-Mulk. Its chain is "sahih".
Grading: After it (148) he recorded via Amr bin Murrah, from Masruq, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: "Surat Tabarak argued on behalf of its companion until it admitted him into Paradise". Its narrators are thiqah.
General principle: Such a thing cannot be said from one's own opinion (ijtihad); it must be based on a (Prophetic) report, so it takes "the ruling of marfu'", and what precedes it supports it.
