Tafsir of Surah al-Furqan

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "On the Day of Resurrection, before midday comes, these (the people of Paradise) and those (the people of Hell) will already have taken their qaylulah (midday rest)." Then he recited this verse: "Indeed, their place of midday rest will be the Blazing Fire" [Surah al-Saffat: 68].
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "How will the people of Hell be gathered on their faces?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the One who made them walk on their feet is able to make them walk on their faces."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked: "O Messenger of Allah! 'Those who will be gathered on their faces' [Surah al-Furqan: 34] (what is their case)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the One who made them walk on their feet is able to gather them on their faces."
When these two chains are combined, this hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Ma'add bin Adnan bin Udad bin Zand bin al-Bara, (who is) of (the descendants of) A'raq al-Thara." She said: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "And (We destroyed) Ad and Thamud and the people of the well (Ashab al-Rass), and many generations between them" [Surah al-Furqan: 38], whom none knows except Allah. Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: By A'raq al-Thara is meant Isma'il bin Ibrahim (peace be upon them both), by Zand is meant Hamaysa', and by Bara is meant Nabt.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "No year has more rain than another year; rather, Allah Almighty distributes it (the rainwater) wherever He wills." Then he recited this verse: "And We have certainly set it forth among them in various ways (or: distributed it among them)" [Surah al-Furqan: 50].
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
