أخبرني أبو بكر محمد بن عبد الله الجَرَّاحي بمَرْو، حدثنا يحيى بن ساسَوَيهِ الذُّهْلي، حدثنا سُوَيد بن نَصْر، حدثنا حاتم بن إسماعيل وخارجة بن مُصعَب، عن عبد الرحمن بن حَرمَلة، عن سعيد بن المسيّب عن أبي هريرة قال: كان رسول الله ﷺ يقرأ: فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَّلَكَ) (الانفطار: 7)، مُثَقَّل (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. حدثنا الحاكم أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الحافظ إملاءً في شهر ربيع سنة تسع وتسعين وثلاث مئة:

هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. حدثنا الحاكم أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الحافظ إملاءً في شهر ربيع سنة تسع وتسعين وثلاث مئة:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite the word "fa-'addalaka" with a shaddah (heavy): "Who proportioned you, then balanced you." [Surah al-Infitar: 7]

(1) إسناده حسن من جهة حاتم بن إسماعيل، وأما خارجة بن مصعب فمتَّفق على ضعفه.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan" as regards Hatim bin Isma'il, but as for Kharijah bin Mus'ab, there is agreement on his weakness.
وقرأ (فعَدَّلَك) بتشديد الدال من السبعة ابنُ كثير ونافع وأبو عمرو وابن عامر، وقرأ عاصم وحمزة والكسائي (فعَدَلَك) بتخفيفها. انظر "السبعة" لابن مجاهد ص 674.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Among the Seven, Ibn Kathir, Nafi', Abu 'Amr and Ibn 'Amir read (فعَدَّلَك) with a doubled dal, and 'Asim, Hamzah and al-Kisa'i read (فعَدَلَك) with it light (undoubled). (See Ibn Mujahid's "al-Sab'ah", p. 674.)
