It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "And do not find fault with one another" [Surah al-Hujurat: 11], that he said: "It means that none of you should taunt another."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This chain is "da'if" because Abu Mawdud is unknown (majhul). Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the author's (al-Hakim's) narration, the link "Zayd, the client of Qays" has dropped out between him and Ikrimah, and he too is majhul. Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded it in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (6327) through Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim with this same chain. Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari recorded it in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (329), Ibn Abi al-Dunya in "al-Samt" (184) and "Dhamm al-Ghibah" (47), and Abu al-Shaykh, via Abd Allah bin al-Mubarak, from Abu Mawdud, from Zayd the client of Qays al-Hadhdha', from Ikrimah. Reference / Source: Al-Tabari recorded it in his "Tafsir" (26/ 132) with his chain made up entirely of the Awfi family up to Ibn Abbas, and it is "da'if". Important point: This is established in al-Tabari as a statement of Mujahid and Qatadah.
