It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not transgress and do not be a transgressor, for the saying of Allah Almighty is: 'Your transgression is only against yourselves' [Surah Yunus: 23]."
This hadith is sahih in its chain, and the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Note / Clarification: And in it he said: "Do not transgress, and do not help (tu'in) a transgressor" - from i'anah (helping) - and this is the correct reading.
