It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty "You will surely pass from stage to stage" [Surah al-Inshiqaq: 19] that what is meant by it is your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); (its meaning is that) he (peace and blessings be upon him) will go from one state to another (rising in rank, up to the Mi'raj).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it!

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih". Muhammad bin Ghalib is the one known as "Tamtam", and Abu Bishr is "Ja'far bin Iyas Abi Wahshiyyah". Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Bukhari (4940) from Sa'id bin al-Nadr, from Hushaym, with this chain. So al-Hakim's including it in al-Mustadrak is an oversight (dhuhul) on his part.
