The supplication of Dhu al-Nun in the belly of the whale

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The supplication of Dhu al-Nun (Yunus, peace be upon him) which he made while he was in the belly of the fish: 'La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin' ((O Allah,) there is no true god except You; You are free of all imperfection; indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers) [Surah al-Anbiya: 87]. The fact is that whenever any Muslim man supplicates with it in any matter at all, Allah Almighty certainly answers his supplication."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "And he called out within the darknesses" [Surah al-Anbiya: 87]; he said: (These darknesses are) the darkness of the night, the darkness of the belly of the fish and the darkness of the sea.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "And We made his wife fit for him" [Surah al-Anbiya: 90]; he said: There was some sharpness (length) in the tongue of the wife of Zakariyya (peace be upon him), so Allah Almighty set it right (that is, He brought refinement to her manners and speech).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
