It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he recited this statement of Allah Almighty: "But those who disbelieved will have garments of fire cut out for them" [Surah al-Hajj: 19], and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, boiling water will be poured over their heads, and it will pierce through the skull until it reaches their stomach, and it will melt whatever is in their stomach until it comes out from their feet. That is al-sahr (the melting). Then they will be restored as they were before."
The chain of narration of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (2) Its chain contains "weakness". Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu al-Samh (Darraj bin Sam'an) is acceptable in corroborations but weak when alone, and here he is alone in narrating it. Reference / Source: Ahmad (14/ 8864) and al-Tirmidhi (2582) transmitted it from Abd Allah bin al-Mubarak. Al-Tirmidhi said: "hasan sahih gharib". Note / Clarification: "Al-hamim": hot, boiling water. Note / Clarification: "Fa-yaslutu": to cut off and uproot. Note / Clarification: "Yumarriqu qadamayhi": i.e. from the intensity of the heat it will cut the feet and scatter them.
