أخبرني أبو عبد الله محمد بن علي الصنعاني بمكة، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم بن عبَّاد، حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا مَعمَر، عن جعفر الجَزَري، عن يزيد ابن الأَصمِّ، عن أبي هريرة في قوله ﷿: ﴿أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُمْ﴾ [الأنعام: 38]، قال: يُحشَر الخلقُ كلُّهم يومَ القيامة: البهائمُ والدوابُّ والطيرُ وكلُّ شيء، فيَبلُغُ من عَدْل الله أن يأخذَ للجَمَّاءِ من القَرْناء، ثم يقول: كُوني ترابًا، لذلك يقول الكافر: ﴿يَالَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ تُرَابًا﴾ [النبأ: 40] (2). جعفر الجَزَري هذا: هو ابن بُرْقان، قد احتَجَّ به، مسلم، وهو صحيح على شرطه، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "They are communities like you" [Surah al-An'am: 38] that he said: On the Day of Resurrection all creatures will be gathered: cattle, animals, birds and everything. The justice of Allah will reach the point that He will take retribution for the hornless goat from the horned goat. Then Allah will say: "Become dust." That is why the disbeliever will say (in regret): "Oh, would that I were dust!" [Surah an-Naba: 40].
This Ja'far al-Jazari is Ibn Burqan, whom Imam Muslim used as evidence, and this hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but they did not record it.

وقصة الأخذ للشاة الجمّاء (وهي التي بلا قرون) من القَرْناء، قد رويت مرفوعة من حديث العلاء بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة، وهو مخرَّج عند أحمد 12/ (7204)، ومسلم (2582)، وغيرهما.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The story of the hornless sheep (al-jamma') being given retribution against the horned one (al-qarna') has been narrated as marfu' from the hadith of al-Ala' bin Abd al-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah; it is recorded by Ahmad (12/ (7204)), Muslim (2582), and others.
وفي الباب عن عبد الله بن عمرو موقوفًا، سيأتي عند المصنف برقم (8931).
Details of the narration: On this topic there is also a mawquf report from Abd Allah bin Amr, which will come with the author (al-Hakim) at no. (8931).
