حدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن عبد الله الجرَّاحي بمَرْو، حدثنا محمد بن علي بن حمزة الحافظ، حدثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم الدَّوْرَقي، حدثنا أبو تُمَيلةَ، عن الزُّبير بن جُنَادة، عن ابن بُرَيدة، عن أبيه (1) قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "لمَّا انتَهَينا إلى بيت المَقدِس قال جِبريلُ بإصبَعِهِ فَخَرَقَ بها الحَجَرَ، وشَدَّ به البُراقَ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه، وأبو تُميلة والزُّبير مَروَزيَّان ثِقَتان.

Ibn Buraydah narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When we reached Bayt al-Maqdis, Jibril (peace be upon him) pointed with his finger and pierced the rock with it, and tied al-Buraq to it."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), and the two Shaykhs did not record it; and Abu Tumaylah and al-Zubayr are both from Marw and are trustworthy (thiqah) narrators.

(1) قوله: "عن أبيه" سقط من (ز) و (ص) و (ع)، وهو ثابت في (ب) و"التلخيص" وكذا في "إتحاف المهرة" (2327)، وكذلك هو ثابت عند كل من خرَّجه. وابن بريدة - وهو عبد الله تابعي لم يدرك النبيَّ ﷺ.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (1) Here the words "'an abihi" (from his father) have dropped out of manuscripts (Z), (S) and ('A), while they are present in manuscript (B) and in al-Dhahabi's "al-Talkhis", and likewise in "Ithaf al-Maharah" (2327), and these words are established with everyone who documented this hadith.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: And (the narrator) Ibn Buraydah is Abdullah (bin Buraydah), who is a Successor (tabi'i) and did not live in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (hence the link through his father is necessary).
(2) إسناده جيد. أبو تُميلة: هو يحيى بن واضح، وقول الحافظ ابن حجر في الزبير بن جنادة في "التقريب": مقبول، غير مقبول، فهذا الرجل صدوق لا بأس به، قد وثَّقه يحيى بن معين في رواية ابن الجنيد عنه والحاكم هنا وذكره ابن حبان في "ثقاته"، وقال أبو حاتم الرازي: شيخ ليس بالمشهور.
Grading: (2) Its chain is "jayyid" (good).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator Abu Tumaylah is "Yahya bin Wadih". And al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar's (may Allah have mercy on him) statement about the narrator "al-Zubayr bin Junadah" in the book "al-Taqrib", that he is "maqbul" (acceptable), is not to be accepted; rather this narrator is "saduq" (truthful) and there is no harm in him. Imam Yahya bin Ma'in (in the narration of Ibn al-Junayd) and al-Hakim (here) declared him trustworthy, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in his book "al-Thiqat". However, Abu Hatim al-Razi said that he is a shaykh who is not well known.
وأخرجه الترمذي (3132) عن يعقوب بن إبراهيم الدورقي، بهذا الإسناد. وقال الترمذي: حديث غريب.
Reference / Source: And Imam al-Tirmidhi documented it at (3132) from Ya'qub bin Ibrahim al-Dawraqi, with this chain.
Grading: And Imam al-Tirmidhi said: This hadith is "gharib".
وأخرجه ابن حبان (47) من طريق عبد الرحمن بن المتوكل، عن يحيى بن واضح أبي تميلة، به.
