أخبرنا أبو زكريا العَنبَري، حدثنا محمد بن عبد السلام، حدثنا إسحاق، أخبرنا جَرير، عن الأعمش، عن إبراهيم، عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد قال: كنا مع سلمان، فانطَلَق إلى حاجةٍ فتوارَى عنّا، ثم خرج إلينا وليس بيننا وبينه ماءٌ، قال: فقلنا له: يا أبا عبد الله، لو توضَّأتَ فسألناك عن أشياءَ من القرآن، قال: فقال: سَلُوا، فإني لستُ أَمَسُّه، إنما يَمسُّه المطهَّرون، ثم تلا: ﴿إِنَّهُ لَقُرْآنٌ كَرِيمٌ (77) لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ (79)﴾ [الواقعة: 77 - 79] (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

Abdul Rahman bin Yazid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: We were with Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him). He went to relieve himself and disappeared from our sight. Then, when he came back, and there was no water among us (for ablution), we said to him: O Abu Abdullah, if you had performed ablution, we would have asked you about some matters of the Qur'an. He said: "Ask me; I will not touch it. Indeed, only the purified touch it." Then he recited this verse: "Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an, which none touch except the purified" [Surah al-Waqi'ah: 77-79].
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(2) إسناده صحيح. إسحاق: هو ابن راهويه، وجرير: هو ابن عبد الحميد، وإبراهيم: هو ابن يزيد النَّخَعي. وقد سلف برقم (664 م).
Grading: Its chain is "sahih". Ishaq is Ibn Rahawayh, Jarir is Ibn 'Abd al-Hamid and Ibrahim is al-Nakha'i. It has already passed at (664 m).
