Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 3716

حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حَدَّثَنَا الحسين بن الفَضْل، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن سابق، حَدَّثَنَا إسرائيل، عن سِمَاك بن حَرْب، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله ﷿: ﴿وإنَّه لَعَلَمٌ لِلسَّاعةِ﴾ [الزخرف: 61]، قال: خروجُ عيسى ابن مريمَ (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه (3).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "And indeed, it is a sign of the Hour" [al-Zukhruf: 61], that he said: "What is meant by it is the emergence (coming) of Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) in its chain of narration, and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: This report is "sahih", and its chain is "hasan" because of Simak bin Harb, and he has been corroborated.
فقد أخرجه بنحوه عبد الرزاق في "تفسيره" 2/ 198 - 199، وأبو عمرو الداني في "السنن الواردة في الفتن" (591) من طريق سفيان بن عيينة، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن عكرمة به. وانظر ما سلف برقم (3040).
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Abd al-Razzaq (2/ 198-199) and Abu Amr al-Dani (591) via Sufyan bin Uyaynah, from Amr bin Dinar, from Ikrimah. See also no. (3040).

Note / Clarification: In manuscript (Z) this ruling is written unclearly, while in the other manuscripts it is clear.
