أخبرنا أبو زكريا يحيى بن محمد العَنبَري، حدَّثنا محمد بن عبد السلام، حدَّثنا إسحاق، أخبرنا ابن فُضَيل، حدَّثنا حُصَين، عن مجاهدٍ، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله ﷿: ﴿أَوْ مِسْكِينًا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍ﴾، قال: التَّرِبُ: الذي لا يَقيهِ من التراب شيءٌ (2). [91 - تفسير سورة (والشمس وضحاها)] ﷽
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty "Or a needy person in the dust" [Surah al-Balad: 16], that he said: "Al-tarib" means the person who has nothing (such as bedding or clothing) to protect him from the dust.
