حدَّثنا علي بن حَمْشاذ العَدْل، حدَّثنا يزيد بن الهيثم، حدَّثنا إبراهيم بن أبي الليث، حدَّثنا الأشجعي، عن سفيان، عن حُصَين، عن مجاهدٍ، عن ابن عبَّاس ﴿أَوْ مِسْكِينًا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍ﴾، قال: المطروحُ الذي ليس له بيتٌ (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty "Or a needy person in the dust" [Surah al-Balad: 16], that he said: What is meant is the (homeless) needy person who lies on the dust and has no house.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(1) خبر صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن في المتابعات والشواهد من أجل إبراهيم بن أبي الليث. الأشجعي: هو عبيد الله بن عبيد الرحمن، وسفيان: هو الثوري، وحصين: هو ابن عبد الرحمن السلمي.
Grading: This report is "sahih", and its chain is "hasan" in corroborating chains and supporting reports because of Ibrahim bin Abi al-Layth. Al-Ashja'i is "Ubaydullah bin Ubayd al-Rahman", Sufyan is "al-Thawri", and Husayn is "Ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami".
وأخرجه بنحوه الطبري 30/ 205 عن محمد بن حميد الرازي، عن مهران الرازي، عن سفيان الثوري، عن حصين، عن مجاهدٍ من قوله. وابن حميد فيه ضعف.
Reference / Source: It was narrated in similar form by al-Tabari (30/205) from Muhammad bin Humayd al-Razi, from Mihran al-Razi, from Sufyan al-Thawri, from Husayn, from Mujahid as his own saying. There is "weakness" in Ibn Humayd.
وأخرجه الطبري أيضًا 30/ 204 من طريق شعبة وعبثر، عن حصين، عن مجاهدٍ، عن ابن عبَّاس.

وهو عنده أيضًا من غير وجه عن مجاهدٍ.
