It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "And of the cattle (He created) some for carrying burdens and some small (close to the ground)" [Surah al-An'am: 142] that he said: "Hamulah refers to the large camels that carry burdens, and farsh refers to the small animals."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Grading: This report is sahih, and this chain is hasan on account of Abu Hudhayfah (Musa bin Mas'ud al-Nahdi), and he has been corroborated.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Sufyan is al-Thawri, Abu Ishaq is Amr bin Abd Allah al-Sabi'i, and Abu al-Ahwas is Awf bin Malik al-Ashja'i.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabari recorded it in his "Tafsir" (8/ 62 and 63), Abu Ubayd in "al-Amwal" (969), and Ibn Abi Hatim in his "Tafsir" (5/ 1400), by various routes from Sufyan, with this chain.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabari also recorded it (8/ 63), and Ibn Zanjawayh in "al-Amwal" (1429), by way of Shu'bah, from Abu Ishaq, with the same chain.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): But in the narration of Muhammad bin Ja'far from him (with al-Tabari), Shu'bah made clear that he only heard it from Sufyan al-Thawri, from Abu Ishaq.
