It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). (The narrator said:) She was asked about mut'ah (temporary marriage), and she said: "Between me and you is the Book of Allah (as judge)." Then she recited this verse: "And those who guard their private parts, except from their wives or those (slave women) their right hands possess, for then they are not to be blamed" [Surah Al-Mu'minun: 5-6]. (And she said:) "So whoever seeks beyond those (wife and slave woman) whom Allah has given him in marriage or made him own, it is he who transgresses."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.
