Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 3018

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father (Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam, may Allah be pleased with him) that when this verse was revealed: "Indeed, you will die, and indeed they will die. Then indeed, on the Day of Resurrection, you will dispute before your Lord" [Surah al-Zumar: 30 - 31], Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Will the (disputes) that were between us in the world be brought before us again, along with the details of the sins? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, all of it will be repeated before them until every one who has a right is given his right." Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah! Then the matter is very severe.
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
