حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الجبار، حدثنا محمد بن فُضَيل بن غَزْوان، حدثنا عطاء بن السائب، عن سعيد بن جُبير، عن ابن عبَّاس قال: من قرأَ القرآنَ واتَّبَعَ ما فيه، هَدَاه الله من الضلالة، ووَقَاهُ يومَ القيامة سوءَ الحساب، وذلك بأنَّ الله قال: ﴿فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَى﴾ [طه: 123] (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both); he said: Whoever reads the Qur'an and follows the commands it contains, Allah will guide him, saving him from misguidance, and will protect him from an evil reckoning on the Day of Resurrection. That is because Allah Almighty has said: "So whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor be wretched" [Surah Ta Ha: 123].
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 3480

أخبرنا أبو زكريا العَنبَري، حدثنا محمد بن عبد السلام، حدثنا إسحاق، أخبرنا النَّضْر بن شُمَيل، حدثنا حمّاد بن سَلَمة، عن أبي حازم المدني، عن النُّعمان بن أبي عيّاش، عن أبي سعيد الخُدْري قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ ﴿مَعِيشَةً ضَنْكًا﴾ [طه: 124]، قال: "عذابُ القبر" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "A straitened life" [Surah Ta Ha: 124]: "It refers to the punishment of the grave."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 3481

أخبرنا الحسن بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الوهاب، أخبرنا جعفر بن عَوْن، أخبرنا مِسعَر، حدثني عَلْقمة بن مَرثَد، عن المغيرة اليَشكُري، عن المَعرُور بن سُوَيد، عن عبد الله بن مسعود قال: قالت أمُّ حَبيبة بنت أبي سفيان: اللهمَّ أَمتِعْني بزوجي رسولِ الله ﷺ وبأَبي أبي سفيان وبأَخي معاويةَ، قال: فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ: "إِنَّكِ دَعَوتِ الله لآجالٍ معلومةٍ، وأرزاقٍ مقسومةٍ، وآثارٍ مَبلُوغةٍ، لا يُعجَّلُ شيءٌ منها قبلَ حِلِّه، ولا يُؤخَّر شيءٌ منها بعد حِلِّه، فلو دعوتِ الله أن يعافيَكِ، أو سألتِ الله أن يُعيذَكِ أو يعافيَكِ من عذابٍ في النار أو عذابٍ في القبرِ لكان خَيرًا" أو "لكان أفضلَ" (1). صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه!

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her), supplicated: "O Allah, let me enjoy (the lives of) my husband, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), my father Abu Sufyan and my brother Mu'awiyah." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "You have asked Allah Almighty about life-spans that are already fixed, provisions that have already been apportioned, and footsteps that will (inevitably) reach (their end). None of them will come before its time, nor be delayed after its time. Had you asked Allah to grant you well-being, or asked Him to protect you from the punishment of the Fire or the punishment of the grave, or to grant you well-being, it would have been better for you."

أخبرني أبو بكر أحمد بن إسحاق، أخبرنا الحسن بن علي بن زياد، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن عبد الله الأُوَيْسي، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عُبيد بن عُمير، عن ابن أبي مُلَيكة، عن عائشة أنها قالت: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "فِتنةُ القبر فيَّ، فإذا سُئِلتُم عنِّي فلا تَشكُّوا" (1). صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. [21 - ومن تفسير سورة الأنبياء] ﷽

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The trial of the grave will be concerning me; so when you are asked about me, do not doubt."
