أخبرني بكر بن محمد الصَّيرفي بمَرُو، حدَّثنا عبد الصمد بن الفضل، حدَّثنا حفص بن عمر العَدَني، حدَّثنا الحَكَم بن أبَان، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس: أنه ذَكَرَ مراكبَ أهل الجنة، ثم تَلَا: ﴿وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا﴾ [الإنسان: 20]، ذَكَرَ مراكبَهم (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he mentioned the mounts of the people of Paradise, then recited this saying of Allah Almighty: "And when you look there, you will see bliss and a great kingdom" [Al-Insan: 20]; he took it to mean their mounts.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) إسناده ضعيف لضعف حفص بن عمر العدني، ووهَّاه الذهبي في "تلخيصه".
Grading: Its chain is "da'if" because of the weakness of Hafs bin 'Umar al-'Adani, and al-Dhahabi declared it very weak in "al-Talkhis".
وأخرجه البيهقي في "البعث والنشور" (401) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi narrated it in "al-Ba'th wa al-Nushur" (401) from Abu 'Abd Allah al-Hakim with this same chain.
وأخرجه ابن المبارك في "الزهد" برواية نُعيم (232)، ومن طريقه ابن أبي الدنيا في "صفة الجنة" (205) عن رجل لم يسمِّه، عن الحكم بن أبان، به.
Reference / Source: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated it in "al-Zuhd" (in the narration of Nu'aym, 232), and by his route Ibn Abi al-Dunya in "Sifat al-Jannah" (205), from an unnamed man, from al-Hakam bin Aban, likewise.
