أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الزاهدُ الأصبهاني، حدثنا أَسِيدُ بن عاصم، حدثنا الحسين بن حفص، حدثنا سفيان بن سعيد، عن ابن أبي نَجِيح، عن مجاهد، عن أم سَلَمة قالت: قلت: يا رسول الله، يُذكَرُ الرجالُ ولا يُذكَرُ النساءُ! فأنزل الله ﷿: ﴿إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ﴾ [الأحزاب: 35]، وأنزل: ﴿أَنِّي لَا أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى﴾ [آل عمران: 195] (1).

It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), that I said: "O Messenger of Allah, men are mentioned (in the Qur'an) and women are not mentioned!" So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: [Surah al-Ahzab: 35] "Indeed, the Muslim men and the Muslim women, the believing men and the believing women," and He also revealed this verse: [Surah Al Imran: 195] "Indeed, I do not let the deed of any doer among you go to waste, whether male or female."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(1) خبر صحيح، وهذا إسناد لا بأس برجاله، وقد سلف الكلام على سماع مجاهد من أم سلمة عند الحديث رقم (3234).
Grading: The report is sahih, and the narrators of this chain are acceptable. Discussion of Mujahid's hearing from Umm Salamah has already passed under hadith number (3234).
وأخرجه أحمد (44/ 26575) و (26603)، والنسائي (11341) من طريق عبد الرحمن بن شيبة، عن أم سلمة - دون ذكر آية آل عمران. وإسناده صحيح.
Grading: Ahmad (44/ 26575 and 26603) and al-Nasa'i (11341) recorded it via Abd al-Rahman bin Shaybah from Umm Salamah (without mentioning the verse of Al Imran), and its chain is sahih.
وأخرجه كذلك النسائي (11340) من طريق محمد بن عمرو، عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، عن أم سلمة. وإسناده حسن إن شاء الله.
Grading: Likewise al-Nasa'i (11340) recorded it via Muhammad bin Amr, from Abu Salamah bin Abd al-Rahman, from Umm Salamah, and its chain is hasan, Allah willing.
