Grading: Its chain is "sahih".
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Abd al-Razzaq "al-Tafsir" (2/ 208), and via him by Ibn Shahin "Nasikh al-Hadith wa Mansukhuh" (661), from Ma'mar, from Qatadah, that A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Tubba' was a righteous man." And Ka'b (al-Ahbar) said: "Allah censured his people but did not censure him."
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Qatadah's narration from A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) is mursal, and likewise from Ka'b.
Reference / Source: It was also narrated by al-Tabari in "Tafsir" (25/ 129) via Muhammad bin Thawr, from Ma'mar, from Qatadah.
Reference / Source: It is also in al-Tabari (25/ 128) via Sa'id bin Abi Arubah, from Qatadah.
