أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا أحمد بن مِهران، حدثنا أبو نُعيم، حدثنا سفيان، عن عبد الله بن عيسى بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى، عن عطاء، عن أبي أَسِيد، عن رسول الله ﷺ قال: "كُلُوا الزيت وادَّهِنوا به، فإنه من شجرةٍ مباركةٍ" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وله شاهدٌ آخرُ بإسناد صحيح:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat olive oil and also anoint (your bodies) with it, for it comes from a blessed tree."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it, and it also has a supporting narration (shahid) through another sahih chain.

حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا بكَّار بن قُتيبة القاضي بمصر، حدثنا صفوان بن عيسى القاضي، عن عبد الله بن سعيد بن أبي سعيد المَقبُري قال: سمعت جدِّي يُحدِّث عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "كُلُوا الزيتَ وادَّهِنوا به، فإنه طيِّبٌ مبارَكٌ" (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat olive oil and anoint yourselves with it, for it is pure and blessed."
حدثنا أبو العبَّاس أحمد بن زياد الفقيه بالأَهْواز، حدثنا محمد بن أيوب، أخبرنا محمد بن سعيد بن سابق، حدثنا عمرو بن أبي قيس، عن سِمَاك بن حَرْب، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس: ﴿فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ (36) رِجَالٌ لَا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَارَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ﴾ [النور: 36، 37] قال: ضَرَبَ اللهُ هذا المثلَ، قولَه: ﴿مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ﴾ [النور: 35] لأولئك القوم الذين لا تُلهِيهم تجارةٌ ولا بيعٌ عن ذِكْر الله، وكانوا أتجرَ الناس وأبيَعَه، ولكن لم تكن تُلهِيهم تجارتُهم (2) ولا بيعُهم عن ذِكْر الله (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty, "In houses which Allah has permitted to be raised and in which His name is remembered, He is glorified therein in the mornings and the evenings by men whom neither trade nor sale distracts from the remembrance of Allah" [Surah al-Nur: 36, 37], that he said: Allah Almighty has set forth this example, "The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp; the lamp is within glass" [Surah al-Nur: 35], for those people whom neither trade nor buying and selling makes heedless of the remembrance of Allah. They were the people who engaged most in trade and buying and selling in society, yet these worldly occupations never made them heedless of the remembrance of Allah.
