أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الزاهد الأصبهاني، حَدَّثَنَا أحمد بن مِهْران، حَدَّثَنَا عُبيد الله بن موسى، أخبرنا إسرائيل، عن أبي يحيى، عن مجاهد، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله ﷿: ﴿الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ﴾ [محمد: 1]، قال: منهم أهل مكة، ﴿وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ﴾ [محمد: 2]، قال: هم الأنصارُ، قال: ﴿وَأَصْلَحَ بَالَهُمْ﴾، قال: أمْرَهم (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "Those who disbelieve and turn (others) away from the path of Allah, He will make their deeds go astray" [Surah Muhammad: 1], that he said: "Among them are the people of Makkah." And concerning "And those who believe and do righteous deeds" [Surah Muhammad: 2], he said: "They are the Ansar." And concerning "and He will set right their condition," he said: "That is, Allah set right their affairs."

أخبرنا الحسن بن حَليم المروَزي، أخبرنا أبو الموجِّه، أخبرنا عَبْدانُ، أخبرنا عبد الله، أخبرنا صفوان بن عمرو، عن عبد الله بن بُسْر، عن أبي أُمامة، عن النَّبِيّ ﷺ في قوله ﷿: ﴿وَيُسْقَى مِن مَّاءٍ صَدِيدٍ (16) يَتَجَرَّعُهُ﴾ [إبراهيم: 16 - 17] قال: "يُقرَّبُ إليه فيتكرَّهُه، فإذا أُدنيَ منه شَوَى وجهَه ووَقَعَ فروةُ رأسه، فإذا شربه قَطَّعَ أمعاءَه حتَّى يَخرُجَ من دُبُرِه" يقول الله ﷿: ﴿وَسُقُوا مَاءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُمْ﴾ [محمد: 15]، يقول الله ﷿: ﴿وَإِن يَسْتَغِيثُوا يُغَاثُوا بِمَاءٍ كَالْمُهْلِ يَشْوِى الوُجُوهَ بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ﴾ [الكهف: 29] (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning this saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "And he will be given to drink of festering water; he will sip it" [Surah Ibrahim: 16 - 17]: "That pus will be brought near to him and he will loathe it. When it is brought right close to him, it will scorch his face and the skin of his scalp will fall off. Then when he drinks it, it will cut his intestines to pieces until they come out from his back passage." Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: "And they will be given boiling water to drink, which will cut their intestines to pieces" [Surah Muhammad: 15]. And Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: "And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like molten copper, which scalds the faces. How wretched a drink!" [Surah al-Kahf: 29].

أخبرنا أبو زكريا العَنبَري، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن عبد السلام، حَدَّثَنَا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، أخبرنا يحيى بن آدم، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيك، عن عثمان أبي اليَقْظان، عن سعيد بن جُبير، عن ابن عبَّاس في قول الله ﷿: ﴿حَتَّى إِذَا خَرَجُوا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ آنِفًا﴾ [محمد: 16]، قال: كنتُ فيمن يُسأل (3).
