It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "Gardens of Eden, which they will enter; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold" [Surah Fatir: 33], and then said: "On the heads of these people of Paradise will be crowns, and even the lowest-ranking pearl set in them will light up with its radiance the distance between the East and the West."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, as Abu al-Abbas has transmitted, through al-Duri, this statement of Yahya bin Ma'in: The most authentic chain of the Egyptians is Amr, from Darraj, from Abu al-Haytham, from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him).

Hadith Takhrij«
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This chain is da'if because the narration of "Abu al-Samh" (Darraj) from "Abu al-Haytham" (Sulayman bin Amr al-Utwari) is weak. Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban (7397) recorded it via Harmalah bin Yahya, from Abd Allah bin Wahb, with this same chain (at greater length than here and without mention of the verse). Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (2562/ 2) recorded it via Rishdin bin Sa'd, from Amr bin al-Harith, with this same chain. Reference / Source: Ahmad (18/ 11715) recorded it at length via Abd Allah bin Lahi'ah, from Darraj Abu al-Samh. (3816). Note / Clarification: See what will come at number (3816).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This is an instance of leniency by Yahya bin Ma'in (may Allah have mercy on him). Rather, the firmest and most authentic chain of the Egyptians is "al-Layth bin Sa'd, from Yazid bin Abi Habib, from Abu al-Khayr, from Uqbah bin Amir", as al-Hakim himself said in his book "Ma'rifat Ulum al-Hadith" (p. 56), and that is the view followed by most of those who gave attention to and wrote on this discipline.
