أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدَّثنا أحمد بن مِهْران، حدَّثنا أبو نُعيم، حدَّثنا سفيان، عن حَبيب بن أبي ثابت، عن سعيد بن جُبير، عن ابن عبَّاس قال: الماعونُ: العارِيَّة (1). صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] ترقيم العلميه 3976 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "(In Surah al-Ma'un,) al-Ma'un refers to items that are borrowed (for temporary use)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(1) خبر صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل أحمد بن مِهْران، وقد توبع. أبو نعيم: هو الفضل بن دُكين، وسفيان: هو الثوري. Grading: The report is sahih, and this chain is hasan on account of Ahmad bin Mihran, and he has been corroborated. Abu Nu'aym is al-Fadl bin Dukayn, and Sufyan is al-Thawri. وأخرجه الطبراني (12354) عن علي بن عبد العزيز، عن أبي نعيم، بهذا الإسناد. Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani (12354) recorded it from Ali bin Abd al-Aziz, from Abu Nu'aym, with this chain. وأخرجه الطبري في "تفسيره" 30/ 318، والطحاوي في "مشكل الآثار" 14/ 91 من طريقين عن سفيان الثوري، به. Reference / Source: Al-Tabari recorded it in his "Tafsir" (30/318) and al-Tahawi in "Mushkil al-Athar" (14/91) via two routes from Sufyan al-Thawri, with the same chain.
