أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب الحافظ، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حدثنا مسدَّد، حدثنا المعتمِر بن سليمان، عن محمد بن عمرو بن عَلقَمة، عن أبي سَلَمة، عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "مِراءٌ في القرآنِ كفرٌ" (1). تابَعَه عمرُ بن أَبي سَلَمة عن أبيه:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Disputing about the Qur'an is disbelief."

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل محمد بن عمرو بن علقمة، وقد توبع.
Grading of the hadith and chain: The hadith is "sahih", and this chain is "hasan" on account of Muhammad bin 'Amr bin 'Alqamah, and he has been "corroborated" (mutaba'ah).
وأخرجه أحمد 13/ (7848) و 15/ (9479) و 16/ (10143) و (10539) و (10834)، وأبو داود (4603)، وابن حبان (1464) من طرق عن محمد بن عمرو، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ahmad (13/ 7848, 15/ 9479, 16/ 10143, 10539, 10834), Abu Dawud (4603) and Ibn Hibban (1464) via various routes from Muhammad bin 'Amr, with this same chain.
وأخرجه أحمد 13/ (7989)، والنسائي (8039)، وابن حبان (74) من طريق أبي حازم - وهو سلمة بن دينار - عن أبي سلمة، به. وهذا إسناد صحيح.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ahmad (13/ 7989), al-Nasa'i (8039) and Ibn Hibban (74) via Abu Hazim (Salamah bin Dinar) from Abu Salamah. This chain is "sahih".
