أخبرنا عمر بن محمد بن صفوان الجُمَحي بمكة، حدثنا علي بن عبد العزيز، حدثنا أبو عُبيدٍ، حدثنا مروان بن معاوية عن حماد، عن (2) بُدَيل بن مَيسَرة، عن عبد الله بن شَقِيق، عن عائشة قالت: كان رسول الله ﷺ يقرأ: (فرُوحُ ورَيْحانٌ) [الواقعة: 89] (3).

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this blessed verse like this: "Then (for him) is rest (ruh) and fragrance." [Surah al-Waqi'ah: 89]
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) لفظ "عن" تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية إلى: بن. وحماد هذا: هو ابن زيد.
Note / Clarification: In the handwritten manuscripts the word "'an" (from) has been corrupted into "bin". And Hammad here is "Ibn Zayd".
(3) إسناده صحيح. أبو عبيد: هو القاسم بن سلام.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Details of the narration: Abu 'Ubayd here is "al-Qasim bin Sallam".
وقد سلف برقم (2961) من طريق هارون بن موسى عن بديل بن ميسرة.
Details of the narration: This narration preceded under number (2961) by way of Harun bin Musa, from Budayl bin Maysarah.
Note / Clarification: In the handwritten manuscripts the word "'an" (from) has been corrupted into "bin". And Hammad here is "Ibn Zayd".
