أخبرنا بكر بن محمد الصَّيرَفي بمَرُو، حدثنا عبد الصمد بن الفضل حدثنا مكِّيُّ بن إبراهيم، حدثنا عبيد الله بن أبي حُميد، عن أبي المَلِيح، عن مَعقِل ابن يسار قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "أُعطِيتُ سورةَ البقرةِ من الذِّكر الأوَّل" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was given Surah al-Baqarah from 'the first Remembrance' (the Preserved Tablet, or the original source of the earlier scriptures)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) إسناده ضعيف جدًا من أجل عبيد الله بن أبي حميد، قال الذهبي في "تلخيصه": تركوا حديثه. وهو مكرر (2085).
