اُردوEn
أخبرنا أبو النَّضر الفقيه وأبو الحسن العَنَزي قالا: حدثنا عثمان بن سعيد الدارمي، حدثنا أبو صالح محبوب بن موسى، حدثنا أبو إسحاق الفَزَاري، عن الأعمش وسفيان، عن عبد الله بن السائب، عن زاذانَ، عن ابن مسعود، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "إنَّ لله ملائكة سيَّاحِينَ في الأرض يُبلِّغوني عن أمَّتي السلامَ" (1). صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد عَلَوْنا في حديث الثَّوري، فإنه مشهور عنه، فأما حديث الأعمش عن عبد الله بن السائب، فإنا لم نَكتُبه إلَّا بهذا الإسناد.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah has some angels who roam (travel about) the earth, who convey to me the salutations of peace of my Ummah."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. Although the narration of Imam al-Thawri is well known, from the chain of al-A'mash we have written it only through this route.

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد قوي من أجل محبوب بن موسى، وقد توبع. أبو إسحاق الفزاري: هو إبراهيم بن محمد بن الحارث، وسفيان هو الثوري، وزاذان: هو أبو عمر الكندي مولاهم الكوفي.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is strong (qawi) because of "Mahbub bin Musa", and he has been corroborated.
Note / Clarification: Abu Ishaq al-Fazari is Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin al-Harith, Sufyan is al-Thawri, and Zadhan is Abu Umar al-Kindi (their freedman, al-Kufi).
وأخرجه أحمد (6/ 3666) و (7/ 4210) و (4320)، والنسائي (1206) و (9811)، وابن حبان (914) من طرق عن سفيان الثوري، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (6/ 3666, 7/ 4210 and 4320), al-Nasa'i (1206, 9811) and Ibn Hibban (914) recorded it via several routes from Sufyan al-Thawri, with this same chain.
وأما رواية الأعمش سليمان بن مهران، فقد أخرجها الطبراني في "الكبير" (10528)، وأبو نعيم في "أخبار أصبهان" 2/ 205 من طريقين عن أبي صالح محبوب بن موسى، عن أبي إسحاق الفزاري، عن الأعمش وحده، به.
Reference / Source: As for the narration of al-A'mash (Sulayman bin Mihran), al-Tabarani recorded it in "al-Kabir" (10528) and Abu Nu'aym in "Akhbar Asbahan" (2/ 205) via two routes from Abu Salih Mahbub bin Musa, from Abu Ishaq al-Fazari, from al-A'mash alone, with this same chain.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is strong (qawi) because of "Mahbub bin Musa", and he has been corroborated.
