حدثنا أبو عمرو عثمان بن أحمد بن السَّمّاك ببغداد، حدثنا الحسن ابن مُكرَم البزَّاز، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا القاسم بن أبي أيوب، عن سعيد ابن جُبير، عن ابن عبّاس قال: قال الله لنبيِّه ﷺ: ﴿طَهِّرْ بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْقَائِمِينَ (4) وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ﴾ [الحج: 26] فالطوافُ قبل الصلاة، وقد قال رسول الله ﷺ: "الطَّوافُ بمنزلةِ الصلاة، إلَّا أنَّ الله قدَ أحَلَّ فيه المَنطِقَ، فمن نَطَقَ فَلا يَنطِقْ إِلَّا بخيرٍ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. وإنما يُعرَف هذا الحديث من حديث عطاء بن السائب عن سعيد بن جُبير:

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that Allah Almighty said to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Purify My House for those who circle it, those who stand, and those who bow and prostrate" [Surah al-Hajj: 26]. So circumambulation (tawaf) comes before prayer (in mention). And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Circumambulation of the House is on the level of prayer, except that Allah has made speech lawful in it; so whoever speaks during it, let him speak only what is good."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it; rather, this hadith is known from the narration of Ata bin al-Sa'ib.

(4) في (ب): (والعاكفين)، وستأتي كذلك في الرواية التالية، وهذه الآية التي فيها (والعاكفين) في سورة البقرة رقم (125).
Note / Clarification: Manuscript (B) has (والعاكفين), and it will come the same way in the next narration, whereas the verse containing (والعاكفين) is verse number (125) of Surah al-Baqarah.
