أخبرني الحسن بن حَلِيم المروَزي، أخبرنا أبو الموجِّه، أخبرنا عَبْدانُ، أخبرنا عبد الله، أخبرنا سعيد بن أبي أيوب، حدثنا يحيى بن أبي سليمان، عن سعيد المَقبُري، عن أبي هريرة قال: قرأ رسول الله ﷺ هذه الآية: ﴿يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا﴾ [الزلزلة: 4] قال: "أتدرون ما أخبارُها؟ " قالوا: الله ورسوله أعلمُ، قال: "فإنَّ أخبارَها أن تَشْهَدَ على كل عبدٍ وأَمَةٍ بما عُمِلَ على ظَهرِها، أن تقول: عَمِلَ عَمَلَ كذا يومَ كذا، فهذه أخبارُها" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "On that Day it (the earth) will report its news." [Surah al-Zalzalah: 4] Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you know what its news is?" The Companions said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its news is that it will bear witness against every male and female servant (that is, every man and woman) concerning all the deeds done upon its back. It will say: This person did such-and-such a deed on such-and-such a day. That is its news."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(1) إسناده ضعيف لضعف يحيى بن أبي سليمان. أبو الموجه: هو محمد بن عمرو الفزاري، وعبدان: هو عبد الله بن عثمان المروزي، وعبد الله: هو ابن المبارك.
Grading: Its chain is weak because of the weakness of Yahya bin Abi Sulayman.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu al-Muwajjih is Muhammad bin 'Amr al-Fazari, 'Abdan is 'Abdullah bin 'Uthman al-Marwazi, and 'Abdullah is Ibn al-Mubarak.
وأخرجه أحمد 14/ (8867)، والترمذي (2429) و (3353)، والنسائي (11629)، وابن حبان (7360) من طرق عن عبد الله بن المبارك، بهذا الإسناد. وقال الترمذي حديث حسن صحيح! وسيأتي برقم (4009).
Reference / Source: Ahmad 14/(8867), al-Tirmidhi (2429) and (3353), al-Nasa'i (11629) and Ibn Hibban (7360) recorded it by various routes from Ibn al-Mubarak, with this chain. Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a hasan sahih hadith!
