حدَّثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدَّثنا العبَّاس بن محمد الدُّوري، حدَّثنا وهب بن جَرير، حدَّثنا أبي، سمعتُ يحيى بن أيوب يحدِّث عن يزيد بن أبي حَبيب، عن أسلمَ أبي عِمْران التُّجِيبي، عن عُقْبة بن عامر قال: قلتُ: يا رسول الله، أقرأ من سورة يوسفَ وسورة هودٍ، قال: "يا عقبهُ، اقرأ بـ ﴿أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ﴾، فإنك لن تقرأ بسورةٍ أحبَّ إلى الله، وأبلغَ عندَه منها، فإنِ استطعتَ أن لا تَفُوتَك فافعَلْ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, should I recite Surah Yusuf and Surah Hud?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Uqbah, recite 'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak' [Surah al-Falaq: 1], for you cannot recite any surah more beloved to Allah and more effective with Him than it. So if you are able not to let it slip from you, then do so."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل يحيى بن أيوب - وهو الغافقي المصري - وقد توبع. جرير: هو ابن حازم.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is hasan on account of Yahya bin Ayyub (al-Ghafiqi al-Misri), and he has been corroborated. Jarir is Ibn Hazim.
وأخرجه النسائي (7791) عن أحمد بن سعيد، عن وهب بن جرير، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i (7791) recorded it from Ahmad bin Sa'id, from Wahb bin Jarir, with this chain.
وأخرجه بنحوه أحمد 28/ (17341) و (17418) و (17455)، والنسائي (1027) و (7790)، وابن حبان (795) و (1842) من طرق عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب، به.

وقد روي عن عقبة في فضل المعوذتين بغير هذا اللفظ، انظر ما سلف عند المصنف برقم (795) و (796). وانظر أيضًا "صحيح مسلم" (814).
