حَدَّثَنَا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حَدَّثَنَا الحسن بن علي بن عفَّان العامرِي، حَدَّثَنَا أبو أسامة، عن صالح بن حيَّان، عن عبد الله بن بُرَيدة في قول الله ﷿: ﴿ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ﴾، قال: جبلٌ من زُمرُّدِ محيطٌ بالدنيا، عليه كَنَفا السماء (1). It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning this saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an" [Surah Qaf: 1], that he said: "This Qaf is a mountain of emerald that encircles the world, and upon it rest the edges of the sky."

(1) إسناده تالف، صالح بن حيان متَّفق على ضعفه ووهّاه الذهبي في "سير أعلام النبلاء" 7/ 373. أبو أسامة: هو حماد بن أسامة. Grading: This chain is "talif"; Salih bin Hayyan is agreed to be weak, and al-Dhahabi declared him weak in "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala'" (7/ 373). Abu Usamah is Hammad bin Usamah. وأخرجه أبو الشيخ في "العظمة" (981) من طريق عبد الله بن عمر بن أبان، عن أبي أسامة، بهذا الإسناد. Reference / Source: Abu al-Shaykh recorded it in "al-Azamah" (981) via Abd Allah bin Umar bin Aban, from Abu Usamah, with this same chain. كَنَفا السماء: جانباها. Note / Clarification: "Kanafa al-sama'" means: the two sides of the sky.
