حدثني محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن نُعيم، حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيبة، حَدَّثَنَا الليث بن سعد عن يزيد بن عبد الله بن الهادِ، عن موسى بن سَرجِسَ قال: سمعت ابنَ محمد يُحدِّث وتَلَا قولَ الله ﷿: ﴿وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ﴾ [ق: 19]، ثم قال: حدَّثتني أمُّ المؤمنين قالت: لقد رأيتُ رسولَ الله ﷺ وهو بالموت وعنده قَدحٌ فيه ماءٌ وهو يُدخِل يدَه في القَدَح، ثم يَمسَحُ وجهَه بالماء، ثم يقول: "اللهم أعِنِّي على سَكَراتِ الموت" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) that he recited this saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "And the stupor of death will come with the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid" [Surah Qaf: 19], and then said: The Mother of the Believers (Sayyidah Aishah) (may Allah be pleased with her) told me: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of his death, and there was a cup of water beside him. He would put his hand into the cup, then wipe his blessed face with it, and make this supplication: 'Allahumma a'inni ala sakarat al-mawt' (O Allah, help me through the agonies (and pains) of death).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 3774

حَدَّثَنَا علي بن حَمْشَاذَ العَدْل ومحمد بن أحمد الدارَبردي، قالا: حَدَّثَنَا الحارث بن أبي أسامة، حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيج بن النعمان الجَوهَري، حَدَّثَنَا عبد الله بن نافع، عن عاصم بن عمر، عن أبي بكر بن سالم، عن سالم، عن ابن عمر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "أنا أولُ من تَنشَقُّ الأرضُ عنه، ثم أبو بكرٍ، ثم عمرُ، ثم آتي أهلَ البَقِيع، فيُحشَرون معي، ثم أَنتظرُ أهلَ مكة". قال: وتلا عبدُ الله بن عمر: ﴿يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ذَلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ﴾ [ق: 44] (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am the first one from whom the earth will split open (that is, I will be the first to rise from the grave), then Abu Bakr, then Umar. Then I will come to the people of al-Baqi', and they will be gathered with me. Then I will wait for the people of Makkah." The narrator said: After this Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) recited this verse: "On the Day the earth splits open from them, (they will come out) hastening; that is a gathering easy for Us" [Surah Qaf: 44].
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 3775

حَدَّثَنَا أبو علي الحسين بن علي الحافظ، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن عبد الرحمن القرشي بهَراةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سعيد بن منصور المكِّي، حَدَّثَنَا عبَّاد بن العوَّام، عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد، عن قيس بن أبي حازم، عن جَرير بن عبد الله قال: أُتيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ برجل تُرعَدُ فَرائصُه، قال: فقال له: "هوِّنْ عليك، فإنَّما أنا ابن امرأةٍ من قُريشٍ كانت تأكلُ القَدِيدَ في هذه البَطْحاءِ". قال: ثم تلا جريرُ بن عبد الله البَجَلي: ﴿فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَنْ يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ﴾ [ق: 45] (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) whose shoulders were trembling (with fear). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Do not be alarmed. I am only the son of a woman of Quraysh who used to eat qadid (salted meat dried in the sun) in this Batha' (the valley of Makkah)." The narrator said: Then Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) recited this verse: "So remind with the Qur'an whoever fears My threat" [Surah Qaf: 45].
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
