أخبرني الحسين بن علي التَّميمي، حدثنا أبو العبَّاس أحمد بن محمد، حدثنا هارون بن حاتم، أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن أبي حمّاد، حدثني إسحاق بن يوسف، عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عَقِيل، عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لعليٍّ: "يا عليُّ، الناسُ من شجرٍ شَتَّى، وأنا وأنت من شجرةٍ واحدةٍ"، ثم قرأ رسول الله: ﷺ ﴿وَجَنَّاتٌ مِنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَزَرْعٌ (1) وَنَخِيلٌ صِنْوَانٌ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍ يُسْقَى بِمَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ﴾ [الرعد: 4] (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يًخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "O Ali, people are from different trees (that is, from separate roots), while you and I are from one tree." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "And gardens of grapevines, and crops, and palm trees, some growing from a single root and others from separate roots, watered with one water." [Surah al-Ra'd: 4]

(1) في (ز) و (ص): "وزروع" وصحح عليها في (ز)! والتلاوة بإجماع: (وزَرْع) بلفظ المفرد، كما في (ع) و (ب).
Correction of the text: Manuscripts (Z) and (S) have "وزروع", but by consensus the recitation is (وزَرْع) in the singular, as in manuscripts ('A) and (B).
(2) إسناده ضعيف جدًا، أبو العبَّاس أحمد بن محمد - وهو السِّجزي كما سلف تقييده عند المصنف برقم (2976) - وهَّاه الذهبي في "السير" 14/ 296، وهارون بن حاتم قال الذهبي في "تلخيصه" هنا: هالك.
Grading: Its chain is "extremely weak".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Dhahabi declared Abu al-'Abbas Ahmad bin Muhammad (who is al-Sijzi, as specified earlier with the author (al-Hakim) at number (2976)) weak in "al-Siyar" 14/ 296; and concerning Harun bin Hatim, al-Dhahabi said here in the "Talkhis": "He is halik (utterly weak)".
وأخرجه الطبراني في "الأوسط" (4150) من طريق عمرو بن عبد الغفار، عن محمد بن علي السلمي، عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عَقيل، به - دون ذكر الآية. وعمرو بن عبد الغفار هذا متروك واتُّهم بوضع الحديث.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani narrated it in "al-Awsat" (4150) via 'Amr bin 'Abd al-Ghaffar, from Muhammad bin 'Ali al-Sulami, from 'Abd Allah bin Muhammad bin 'Aqil, without mentioning the verse.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This 'Amr bin 'Abd al-Ghaffar is a "matruk" narrator and is accused of fabricating hadith.
