It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the day Allah Almighty spoke to Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), he was wearing a woollen cloak, a woollen wrap, woollen trousers and a woollen cap, and his sandals were made from the hide of a donkey that had not been slaughtered."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) Its chain is "very weak" (da'if jiddan). Technical note / Defect ('illah): This "Humayd bin Qays" is an error (wahm) by one of the narrators; the correct name is "Humayd bin 'Ali" or "Humayd bin 'Ammar", and he is one of the "matrukin" (abandoned narrators), as al-Dhahabi said in "al-Talkhis". The author (al-Hakim) had earlier drawn attention to this at no. (76), but here he overlooked it (dhuhul).
