Abdullah bin Ubayd bin Umayr narrates from his father that he said: I said to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): O Mother of the Believers, how did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recite this word: "wa alladhina yu'tuna ma ataw" [Surah al-Mu'minun: 60]? She asked: Which of the two readings do you like more? I said: One of them is dearer to me than red camels. She asked: Which one is it? I said: "alladhina ya'tuna ma ataw" (those who come with what they came with). Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recite it this way.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(21952). Correction of the text: In the manuscripts (the name) was miswritten as "al-Qati'i"; it appears correctly in "Ithaf al-Maharah" (21952).
(3006). Grading of the chain: This chain is "da'if" because of the weakness of Yahya bin Rashid (al-Mazini al-Barra'). Al-Dhahabi declared it weak in his "Talkhis" because of him. (It will come again at number 3006.) Reference / Source: Ahmad (41/ 24641, 42/ 25115, 25116) narrated it via Isma'il al-Makki, from Abu Khalaf al-Jumahi, that he entered upon 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) together with 'Ubayd bin 'Umayr and asked her about this word. This chain is also "da'if".
