Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: His words "يحيى بن زكريا" (Yahya bin Zakariyya) dropped out of manuscripts (Z), ('A) and (B); we have retained them from the margin of manuscript (S), where they are marked as corrected, from the reference sources, and from what will come under no. (4196).
Grading: Its narrators are acceptable (there is no harm in them), but its text is "munkar". Al-Tabari said in his "Tarikh" 1/589: This view, narrated from those I mentioned in these reports that have been narrated and from others not mentioned in this book, that Nebuchadnezzar (Bukhtnassar) was the one who attacked the Children of Israel when they killed Yahya bin Zakariyya, is a mistake according to the people of biography and history, those learned in the affairs of past peoples in the pre-Islamic era, and others among the adherents of the religions. That is because they are all unanimous that Nebuchadnezzar attacked the Children of Israel only when they killed their prophet Sha'ya (Isaiah) in the time of Irmiya bin Hilqiya (Jeremiah), and between the time of Irmiya and Nebuchadnezzar's destruction of Bayt al-Maqdis, up to the birth of Yahya bin Zakariyya, there were four hundred and sixty-one years according to the Jews and Christians, and they mention that this is made clear in their books and scriptures.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said in "al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah" 2/373: What preceded from the words of al-Hafiz Ibn 'Asakir indicates that this was the blood of Yahya bin Zakariyya, but this is not correct, because Yahya bin Zakariyya came a long time after Nebuchadnezzar. What is apparent is that this was the blood of an earlier prophet, or the blood of one of the righteous, or of whomever Allah willed, of whom Allah knows best.

Reference / Source: It has been narrated in abridged form from Sa'id bin al-Musayyab in Abu 'Ubayd's "al-Khutab wa al-Mawa'iz" (99), al-Tabari's "al-Tafsir" 15/30, and Ibn 'Asakir 64/216, and al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir declared its chain to Sa'id sahih in "al-Bidayah". He said: Nebuchadnezzar came to Damascus and found the blood of Yahya bin Zakariyya boiling. He asked about it and they told him, so he killed seventy thousand (70,000) people over his blood, and then the blood became still.
