حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن عفَّان، حدثنا يحيى بن آدم، حدثنا إسرائيل، عن سِمَاك بن حَرْب، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله ﷿: ﴿فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ﴾ [المائدة: 83]، قال: مع أُمَّة محمد ﷺ وأُمَّتُه شَهِدُوا له بالبلاغ، وشَهِدوا اللرُّسل أنهم قد بَلَّغوا (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "So write us down among the witnesses" [Surah al-Ma'idah: 83] that he said: (It means being written) with the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), because this Ummah testified for him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he conveyed the message, and it also testified in favour of all the messengers that they had conveyed (the message of Allah).
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: Its chain is hasan on account of Simak bin Harb.
وأخرجه ابن المنذر في "تفسيره" (521) من طريق إسحاق بن راهويه، عن المؤمَّل ويحيى بن آدم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn al-Mundhir recorded it in his "Tafsir" (521) by way of Ishaq bin Rahawayh, from al-Mu'ammal and Yahya bin Adam, with this chain.
وأخرجه الطبري في "تفسيره" 7/ 6، وكذا ابن أبي حاتم 2/ 660 و 4/ 1185، والطبراني في "الكبير" (11732)، والضياء المقدسي في "المختارة" 12/ (106) و (107) من طرق عن إسرائيل، به.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabari recorded it in his "Tafsir" (7/ 6), and likewise Ibn Abi Hatim (2/ 660 and 4/ 1185), al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (11732), and al-Diya' al-Maqdisi in "al-Mukhtarah" (12/ (106) and (107)), by various routes from Isra'il, with the same chain.
وأخرجه الطبري أيضًا 7/ 6 من طريق معاوية بن صالح، عن علي بن أبي طلحة، عن ابن عبَّاس.
