حدثنا محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا الحسين بن الفضل، حدثنا عفَّان، حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، أخبرنا الأشعث بن عبد الرحمن، عن أبي قِلَابة، عن أبي الأشعث، عن النعمان بن بَشِير، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "إنَّ الله كتب كتابًا قبل أن يَخلُقَ السماواتِ والأرضَ بألفَيْ عام، وأَنزَلَ منه آيتينِ خَتَمَ بهما سورةَ البقرة، لا تُقرَآنَ في دارٍ فيَقرَبَها شيطانٌ ثلاثَ ليالٍ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty wrote a Book two thousand years before creating the heavens and the earth, and from it He revealed two verses with which He concluded Surah al-Baqarah. In whatever house these verses are recited, the devil does not come near it for three nights."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
