It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It has been revealed to me that (whoever acts upon this verse) 'So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him do righteous deeds and not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord' [Surah al-Kahf: 110] will have a light stretching from Abyan (a region of Yemen) to Makkah, filled with angels."
The chain of narration of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (1) In "Musnad Ishaq" (as in "al-Matalib al-'Aliyah": 3654) the wording is: "أنه من قال" (that whoever says), and in "Musnad al-Bazzar" (297): "من قرأ في ليلة" (whoever recites in a night).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (2) In manuscripts (Z), ('A) and (B) it is "حشته", while we have established the reading from manuscript (S), which agrees with "Musnad Ishaq" and the other source works.
Grading: (3) Its chain is "da'if" (weak) because Abu Qurrah al-Asadi is "majhul" (unknown), and al-Dhahabi declared him unknown in "al-Talkhis". (826). Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ishaq is Ibn Ibrahim al-Hanzali, known as Ibn Rahawayh. It is in his "Musnad" (as in "al-Matalib al-'Aliyah": 3654), and via Ishaq al-Mustaghfiri recorded it in "Fada'il al-Qur'an" (826). Reference / Source: Al-Bazzar (297) and Abu Mansur al-Daylami in "Musnad al-Firdaws" (as in Ibn Hajar's "al-Ghara'ib al-Multaqatah": 1012) recorded it via two routes from al-Nadr bin Shumayl, with this chain. Reference / Source: Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir cited it in his "Tafsir" (5/ 204) from al-Bazzar, and then said: it is "very gharib (strange)".
