It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he prayed with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited "Not of those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who go astray" [Surah al-Fatihah: 7], he said "Amin" and kept his voice low with it. Qadi Isma'il said that in it the word is "ghayri" (with a kasrah under the ra'), because in the recitation of the people of Makkah it is read "ghayra" (with a fathah on the ra').
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
1/ 237. Technical note / Irregularity (shudhudh): This hadith is "shadh" with this wording, because Shu'bah was contradicted in his phrase "he lowered his voice with it". The correct wording is "ورفع بها صوته" (and he raised his voice with it), as narrated by Sufyan al-Thawri and others. The critics judged this to be preponderant and were decisive about it, as al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned in "al-Talkhis al-Habir" (1/ 237). Reference / Source: Ahmad (31/ 18854) narrated the hadith of Shu'bah via Muhammad bin Ja'far, from Shu'bah, with this same chain. See the rest of the discussion of it there. Reference / Source: The hadith of Sufyan al-Thawri was narrated by Ahmad (18842), Abu Dawud (932) and al-Tirmidhi (248); and the hadith of al-'Ala' bin Salih by Abu Dawud (933) and al-Tirmidhi (249). Both of them narrate it from Salamah bin Kuhayl, from Hujr bin al-'Anbas, from Wa'il bin Hujr, and in it: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said "Amin" aloud. Its chain is "sahih".
