14 مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الْقَتْلَ مِنْ عِنْدِ نَفْسِهِ صَادِقًا ثُمَّ مَاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ ، فَلَهُ أَجْرُ الشَّهِيدِ

Whoever sincerely asks Allah to be killed in His path and then dies or is killed has the reward of a martyr

15 لَا تَتَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ وَسَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ

Do not wish to meet the enemy, and ask Allah for well-being

16 من مات ولم يغز ولم يحدث نفسه بالغزو مات على شعبة من نفاق

Whoever dies without having fought or intended to fight dies upon a branch of hypocrisy

17 من لقي الله بغير أثر من الجهاد لقيه وفيه ثلمة

Whoever meets Allah without any mark of jihad will meet Him with a flaw

No charity and no jihad, then by what will you enter Paradise?

Whoever guards the frontier for a day and a night in the path of Allah has the reward of fasting and standing in prayer for a month

Mention of a night better than Laylat al-Qadr

21 أَيُّكُمْ خَلَفَ الْخَارِجَ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ بِخَيْرٍ كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ نِصْفِ أَجْرِ الْخَارِجِ

Whoever of you looks after the family and property of one who goes out to fight in a good manner has half the reward of the one who goes out

22 مَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَقَدْ غَزَا

Whoever equips a fighter in the path of Allah has fought

23 ثَلَاثَةُ أَعْيُنٍ لَا تَمَسُّهَا النَّارُ

Three eyes that the Fire will not touch

24 حُرِّمَتِ النَّارُ عَلَى عَيْنٍ دَمَعَتْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ، حُرِّمَتِ النَّارُ عَلَى عَيْنٍ سَهِرَتْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

The Fire is forbidden to an eye that wept out of fear of Allah, and to an eye that stayed awake in the path of Allah

25 مَنِ ابْتَغَى وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَأَطَاعَ الْإِمَامَ فَإِنَّ نَوْمَهُ وَنَبَهَهُ أَجْرٌ كُلُّهُ

Whoever seeks the Face of Allah and obeys the leader, his sleep and his waking are all a reward

26 عَلَى أَيِّ حَالٍ قَاتَلْتَ أَوْ قُتِلْتَ بَعَثَكَ اللَّهُ عَلَى تِلْكَ الْحَالِ

In whatever state you fight or are killed, Allah will resurrect you in that state

27 مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يُنْفِقُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَالٍ لَهُ زَوْجَيْنِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا اسْتَقْبَلَتْهُ حَجَبَةُ الْجَنَّةِ

No servant spends a pair of every kind of his wealth in the path of Allah except that the gatekeepers of Paradise will receive him

28 مَنْ أَنْفَقَ نَفَقَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كُتِبَتْ بِسَبْعِمَائَةِ ضِعْفٍ

The types of men and the kinds of deeds

The occasion of the revelation of the verse "And do not think of those who are killed in the path of Allah as dead"

31 ذِكْرُ رِجَالٍ يُحِبُّهُمُ اللهُ تَعَالَى ذِكْرُ رِجَالٍ يُبْغِضُهُمُ اللهُ تَعَالَى

Mention of men whom Allah the Exalted loves and men whom Allah the Exalted hates

32 فَضِيلَةُ إِعَانَةِ الْمُجَاهِدِ وَالْغَارِمِ وَالْمُكَاتَبِ

The virtue of helping the fighter in jihad, the debtor and the slave seeking to buy his freedom

Mention of three whose care is guaranteed by Allah the Exalted

Among your brothers are people who have neither wealth nor clan, so let each of you take some of them with him

36 كَانَ عَلِيٌّ وَأَبُو لُبَابَةَ زَمِيلَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Ali and Abu Lubabah were the riding companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

37 الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ

Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses

38 مَنِ احْتَبَسَ فَرَسًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِيمَانًا بِاللَّهِ وَتَصْدِيقَ مَوْعُودِ اللَّهِ كَانَ شِبَعُهُ وَرِيُّهُ وَرَوَثُهُ وَبَوْلُهُ حَسَنَاتٍ فِي مِيزَانِهِ.

Whoever keeps a horse in the path of Allah out of faith in Allah and belief in His promise, its feed, drink, dung and urine will be good deeds in his Balance

39 إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَغْزُوَ فَاشْتَرِ فَرَسًا أَدْهَمَ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلًا مُطْلَقَ الْيُمْنَى ، فَإِنَّكَ تَغْنَمُ وَتَسْلَمُ

When you intend to go on a campaign, buy a black horse with a white blaze and white legs except the right foreleg, for you will gain spoils and remain safe

40 أَظَلَّتْكُمْ فِتَنٌ كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ

Trials have overshadowed you like pieces of the dark night

41 مَنْ رَضِيَ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولًا وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ

Whoever is pleased with Allah as Lord, Islam as religion and Muhammad as Messenger, Paradise becomes obligatory for him

42 شَهَادَةُ رَجُلٍ أَسْوَدَ مُنْتِنِ الرِّيحِ وَدُعَاؤُهُ ﷺ فِي حَقِّهِ

The martyrdom of a black man with a foul smell and the supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for him

43 إِنَّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ كَانَ رَامِيًا

Ismail (peace be upon him) was an archer

44 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ بِالسَّهْمِ الْوَاحِدِ ثَلَاثَةَ نَفَرٍ الْجَنَّةَ

Allah admits three people into Paradise for a single arrow

45 مَنْ عُلِّمَ الرَّمْيُ ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ فَهِيَ نِعْمَةٌ كَفَرَهَا

Whoever is taught archery and then abandons it, it is a blessing he has been ungrateful for

46 مَنْ رَمَى الْعَدُوَّ بِسَهْمٍ فَبَلَغَ سَهْمُهُ أَخْطَأَ أَوْ أَصَابَ فَعَدْلُ رَقَبَةٍ

Whoever shoots an arrow at the enemy and it reaches them, whether it misses or hits, it equals freeing a slave

47 إِذَا كَثَبُوكُمْ فَارْمُوا بِالنَّبْلِ وَاسْتَبِقُوا نَبْلَكُمْ

When they come close to you, shoot arrows at them and save your arrows

48 سُنَّةُ التَّوْدِيعِ لِمَنْ يُرِيدُ السَّفَرَ وَالدُّعَاءُ لَهُ

The Sunnah of bidding farewell to one setting out on a journey and supplicating for him

As many of the people of al-Taif were killed on the day of Hunayn as were killed on the day of Badr

101 لَا نَسْتَعِينُ بِالْمُشْرِكِينَ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ .

We do not seek the help of the polytheists against the polytheists

108 مَا نَقَضَ قَوْمٌ الْعَهْدَ قَطُّ إِلَّا كَانَ الْقَتْلُ بَيْنَهُمْ وَلَا ظَهَرَتِ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي قَوْمٍ إِلَّا سَلَّطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَوْتَ وَلَا مَنَعَ قَوْمٌ الزَّكَاةَ إِلَّا حَبَسَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمُ الْقَطْرَ .

No people ever break a covenant except that killing occurs among them, and indecency does not appear among a people except that Allah sends death upon them

109 مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهِدًا لَهُ ذِمَّةُ اللَّهِ وَذِمَّةُ رَسُولِهِ فَقَدْ خَفَرَ ذِمَّةَ اللَّهِ

Whoever kills a person under covenant who has the protection of Allah and His Messenger has violated the protection of Allah
