The judgement of Sad bin Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning Banu Qurayzah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Atiyyah al-Qurazi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I was presented before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of (the judgement on) Banu Qurayzah. They were in doubt about me (whether I had reached puberty or not). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that it be checked whether my pubic hair had grown. They looked and found that the hair had not yet grown. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) let me go and placed me among the captives (sabi).
This hadith has been narrated by a group of imams, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it; it is as though they did not consider that Mujahid bin Jabr corroborated (mutaba'ah) Abd al-Malik bin Umayr in this narration.

It is narrated from Mujahid that Atiyyah, a man of Banu Qurayzah, informed him that the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) removed his clothes on the day of Qurayzah and examined him (for hair), and they saw that no razor had yet passed over his pubic hair (that is, he had not yet reached puberty), so they spared him from being killed.
Thus, through the corroboration (mutaba'ah) of Mujahid, this hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) judged concerning Banu Qurayzah that every one of them over whom the razor had passed (that is, who had reached puberty) be killed, and that their wealth and offspring be distributed (among the Muslims). When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed of this, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Today he has judged concerning them with the very judgement of Allah Almighty which He gave (concerning them) from above the seven heavens."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jundub bin Makith (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ghalib al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) as the commander of a detachment, and I was among them. He (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them to launch a raid on Banu al-Mulawwih at al-Kadid. We set out until, when we reached al-Kadid, we met al-Harith bin al-Barsa' al-Laythi and seized him. He said: "I have only come out intending to accept Islam, and I am on my way to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." We said: "If you are a true Muslim, our keeping you tied up for a day and a night will not harm you; and if you are something else, we will make sure of you (as a precaution)." So we tied him up firmly.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
