حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحَكَم، أخبرنا ابن وهب، أخبرني يحيى بن أيوب وسعيد بن أبي أيوب، عن زَبّان بن فائدٍ، عن سَهْل بن مُعاذ بن أنس الجُهَني، عن أبيه، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إِنَّ الصلاةَ والصيامَ والذِّكْر، يُضاعَفُ على النفقةِ في سبيل الله بسَبْعِ مئةِ ضِعْفٍ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Mu'adh bin Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the reward of prayer, fasting and the remembrance of Allah is multiplied seven hundred times over spending in the path of Allah."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(1) إسناده ضعيف لضعف زبان بن فائد، وقد تابعه خير بن نُعيم، لكن الراوي عنه عبد الله بن لهيعة، وقد اضطرب في متنه كما سيأتي.
Grading: Its chain is weak due to the weakness of Zabban bin Fa'id.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Although Khayr bin Nu'aym corroborated him, the one narrating from him is 'Abd Allah bin Lahi'ah, who was inconsistent (idtirab) in its text, as will be detailed below.
وأخرجه أبو داود (2498) عن أحمد بن عمرو بن السَّرْح، عن عبد الله بن وهب، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam Abu Dawud (2498) narrated it through the chain of Ahmad bin 'Amr bin al-Sarh from 'Abd Allah bin Wahb.
وأخرجه أحمد 24/ (15613) من طريق عبد الله بن لهيعة، عن زبان بن فائد، به، لكن بلفظ: "إنَّ الذكر في سبيل الله يُضَعَّفُ فوق النفقة بسبع مئة ضعف". فاقتصر على الذكر وقيده بأنه في سبيل الله، يعني حال الجهاد في سبيل الله.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (15613) narrated it via Ibn Lahi'ah with the words: "Remembrance (dhikr) in the path of Allah is multiplied seven hundred times over (monetary) spending." Here it is restricted to "in the path of Allah", that is, the state of jihad.
وأخرجه أحمد (15613) من طريق رشدين بن سعد، عن زبان، به. كلفظ ابن لهيعة إلّا أنه قال في آخره: "بسبع مئة ألف ضعف". ورشدين ضعيف أيضًا.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Rishdin bin Sa'd also narrated it from Zabban, but at the end said "seven hundred thousand times" instead of "seven hundred times".
Grading: Rishdin bin Sa'd is also a weak narrator.
وأخرجه أحمد كذلك (15647) عن إسحاق بن عيسى بن الطبّاع، عن ابن لهيعة، عن خير بن نُعيم الحضرمي، عن سهل بن معاذ، به. بلفظ: "يفضل الذكر على النفقة في سبيل الله بسبع مئة ألف ضعف".
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (15647) narrated it via Ibn Lahi'ah from Khayr bin Nu'aym with the wording of a "seven hundred thousand times" superiority.
ورواه يحيى بن بُكير عن ابن لهيعة، لكن بلفظ: "الذكر يفضل على النفقة في سبيل الله مئة ضعف".
