حدَّثَناه أبو بكر محمد بن المؤمَّل بن الحَسَن (1)، حدثنا الفضل بن محمد الشَّعْراني، حدثنا عمرو بن عَون، حدثنا هُشَيم، أخبرنا يونس بن عُبَيد، عن الحسن، قال: حدثنا الأسودُ بن سَريع، قال: كنا في غزوة لنا، فذكر الحديثَ بنحوه (2). حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

Something similar is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Aswad bin Sari' (may Allah be pleased with him).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(1) تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية إلى: الحسين، وجاء على الصواب في سائر مواضع رواياته في "المستدرك".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts this name mistakenly became "al-Husayn", whereas in all other places in the Mustadrak it appears with the correct name (al-Hasan).
(2) رجاله ثقات كسابقه.
Grading: Its narrators are trustworthy, like the previous narration.
وأخرجه النسائي (8562) عن زياد بن أيوب، عن هُشَيم بن بشير، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Nasa'i (8562) narrated it via Ziyad bin Ayyub from Hushaym bin Bashir with this same chain.
وأخرجه أحمد (24/ 15589) عن إسماعيل ابن عُليَّة، عن يونس بن عبيد، به. لكن لم يُصرِّح فيه الحسنُ بسماعه من الأسود.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Imam Ahmad (24/15589) narrated it via the route of Isma'il bin Ulayyah from Yunus bin Ubayd, but in it al-Hasan al-Basri's hearing from al-Aswad is not stated explicitly.
