It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Kabshah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Goodness and blessing are tied to the forelocks of horses; their owners are given (unseen) help (in raising them); and the one who spends on them is like a person who stretches out his hand in charity."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it with this addition. There is also a supporting narration (shahid) for it regarding this addition.

Grading: Its chain is sahih. Ibn Wahb is Abd Allah bin Wahb. Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban narrated it with the chain Harmalah bin Yahya from Ibn Wahb.
Reference / Source: The part "Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection" is narrated in al-Bukhari and Muslim from several Companions (Urwah al-Bariqi, Anas, Abu Hurayrah, Ibn Umar, Jarir bin Abd Allah). The narrations of Jarir and Urwah also add "reward and spoils".
