أخبرني عبد الله بن محمد بن موسى العَدْل، حدثنا محمد بن أيوب، أخبرنا يحيى بن المغيرة السَّعْدي، حدثنا جَرير، عن الأعمش، عن أبي عمرو الشَّيباني، عن أبي مسعود، قال: جاء رجلٌ بناقةٍ مَخْطُومة، فقال: هذا في سبيل الله، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "لك بها يومَ القيامةِ سبعُ مئة ناقةٍ، كلُّها مَخْطُومة" (1) هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يخرجه البخاري. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came with a she-camel fitted with a nose-rein and said: This is (dedicated) in the way of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In return for it, you will receive on the Day of Resurrection seven hundred she-camels, all of them fitted with nose-reins."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but Imam Bukhari did not record it.

(1) إسناده صحيح. جرير: هو ابن عبد الحميد، والأعمش: هو سليمان بن مهران، وأبو عمرو الشَّيباني: هو سعد بن إياس. Grading: Its chain is sahih. Abu Amr al-Shaybani is Sa'd bin Iyas. وأخرجه مسلم (1892)، وابن حبان (4649) من طريقين عن جرير بن عبد الحميد، بهذا الإسناد. Reference / Source: Imam Muslim and Ibn Hibban narrated it via Jarir bin Abd al-Hamid. وأخرجه أحمد 28/ (17094) و 37/ (22357) و (22358)، ومسلم (1892)، والنسائي (4381)، وابن حبان (4650) من طريقين عن الأعمش، به. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad, Muslim, al-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban narrated it via various chains of Imam al-A'mash. قوله: "مخطومة" أي: لها خَطْم تُقاد به، كالرسَن للدابة، فيتمكن صاحبها منها ولا تفرُّ منه. Linguistic explanation: "Makhtumah" means a she-camel fitted with a nose-rein (halter) so that she can be controlled.
